Do you want to learn how to integrate Mindfulness into your life? For some, guided meditation just isn't enough. I teach practical Mindfulness skills to help you live a more balanced fulfilling life.
In our busy world of doing, many of us have forgotten how to just 'be'. Working from a specific menu of Mindfulness-Based Skills, you will learn to stay focused in “wise mind” as you approach challenging and stressful situations. Mindfulness can bring us to a more centered state of being, where we can learn to move toward compassion and away from judgment.
I make mindfulness approachable and useful for children, adolescents and adults! You can learn simple techniques to help you find balance, kindness, and fulfillment. Mindfulness-Based interventions have proven to be effective for treating depression, anxiety, chronic pain, substance abuse, insomnia, PTSD, ADHD and obsessive-compulsive disorder (POLLAK, SIEGEL, PEDULLA, 2014).
WHAT TO EXPECT
I may start the session by offering to guide you through brief mindfulness meditation. I will then incorporate mindfulness principals and philosophies to address suffering and cognitive distortions based on "Wise Mind", "Core Mindfulness" and "loving kindness" skills. I may also teach you breathing exercises to reduce stress, along with holistic supportive mental health therapy techniques to help you feel your best.
