MINDFULNESS & MINDFUL THERAPY
You can learn simple techniques to help you find balance, kindness, and fulfillment. I make mindfulness approachable and useful for children, adolescents and adults!
I teach meditation, mindfulness and breath work, along with supportive mental health therapy techniques, to help you feel your best, relieve pain and suffering, and to embrace yourself with compassion. Mindfulness-Based interventions have proven to be effective for treating depression, anxiety, chronic pain, substance abuse, insomnia, PTSD, ADHD and obsessive-compulsive disorder (POLLAK, SIEGEL, PEDULLA, 2014).
In mindful therapy, you will learn effective techniques to notice thoughts and emotions, while simultaneously learning to re-anchor and regulate your emotions more effectively. Together, these components form a style of therapy which is present-focused and nonjudgmental.
WHAT TO EXPECT
I teach meditation (through guided meditation), mindfulness (through Core Mindfulness Skills in DBT) and breath work, along with supportive mental health therapy techniques to help you feel your best. I may also use contemplative and meditative philosophies rooted in Budhist psychology to help you flourish.
